The Badger basketball team stopped Northwestern cold in the second half, leading the game early in the half by 9 the Badgers went on a 23-7 run that saw Northwestern go scoreless for 3 minutes. With the Badgers second half run they went on to win the game by a score of 74-45, but do not let the final score fool you there was value in this victory. Against Northwestern Jason Bohannon showed further signs he is breaking out of his early season shooting funk, scoring a career high 20 points on 8 of 12 shooting from the field. Also Jon Leuer continued to show an agressiveness on the offensive end that is making him a very dangerous scorer, he finished with 15 on 6 of 9 shooting. In an odd bit of coaching, despite the Badgers up almost 30 with ten minutes to go Bo Ryan did not get the reserves much playing time. Freshman Rob Wilson only played 4 minutes, however hit a three pointer, after great ball movement set him up. Fellow freshman Jordan Talyor played 6 minutes and scored 2 points, he also missed a free throw which is becoming an all to common theme.
