The Badger basketball team lost its third consecutive game for the first time in three seasons, as they lost in Iowa in OT. The Badgers again fell apart in the closing minutes of the second half to help secure their fate. It took an incredible three point shot from freshman Jordan Taylor to even send the game into overtime, as he hit a rainbow three from 30 feet away. Taylor was in the game as a replacement for the benched Trevon Hughes who has struggled mightily the last three games. The one positive of the game is that Taylor looked much more comfortable on the court than he has in the past and scored 1o points. Taylor also had a terrific steal with about three minutes left in the game, on the play he raced down the court and when he went to dunk was blocked by an Iowa player. The block was clearly a foul as he hit Taylor hard on the head and body, however the foul was not called leading to a big sway in momentum that rattled the Badgers. Taylor would be a much welcome additional scoring threat going forward in the season, something they clearly need.
