UW Badgers vs Long Beach State

The UW Badgers vs Long Beach State is the first regular season match up for the Badgers Basketball team. While you might not expect to know much about Long Beach State, Badgers fans will know the coach Dan Monson formerly of Minnesota. While Monson was an adequate coach he could not recruit well enough to keep Minnesota competitive. What Dan Monson was able to do during his time with the Gophers was restore integrity to the program that was reeling from a cheating scandal. If you do not believe that Monson can accomplish a lot with an unknown team remember he was the head coach who put Gonzaga on the map.
For the match up against Long Beach State the Badgers hope to make a huge step forward from there exhibition games as far limiting turnovers and other mental mistakes. One thing that will be interesting to watch is to see if Bo Ryan gets all of the freshman get in the game, Ryan Evans has already decided to redshirt.
