Trevon Hughes, Marcus Landry, Joe Krabbenhoft, and Jon Leuer were to much for the UW-Milwaukee Panthers as the UW Badgers won by a score of 67-46 at the Kohl Center. The Panthers stayed close for much of the first half before Jon Leuer helped key a run that helped the Badgers go into halftime with a 10 point lead. Trevon Hughes led the Badgers in scoring with 16 points shooting 4 of 4 from beyond the arc. In Hughes 4 makes from the outside his shot looked very crisp. In stark contrast was fellow backcourt member Jason Bohannon who is really struggling with his shot right now. Jason finished 0-6 from the field and 0-4 from three point range. Jon Leuer continued to show that he will be a factor in multiple aspects this year as he had two blocks and nine quality points. Freshman players Jordan Taylor and Rob Wilson both had impressive steals against the Panthers in one on one defense, however both were unable to convert on the offensive end of the court. Jordan Taylor played 22 minutes in the game and had 2 assists, 2 rebounds, the steal and 1 turnover to go with four points. Hopefully with the minutes Taylor is getting his ballhandling will improve before Big Ten play begins.
