The UW Badgers Keaton Nankivil a sophmore big man who only averaged 0.4 points and 2.4 minutes in 19 appearances as a freshman, stole the show of the UW's intrasquad scrimmage. During the scrimmage Nankivil had 24 points in 27 minutes shooting 11 of 16 from the field and added 6 rebounds. The only starting position being contested during preseason workouts is at the 4 or 5 position and Nankivil made a strong move towards claiming the starting spot. Badgers coach Bo Ryan called Nankivil's performance his coming out party. Nankivil led the Red team to victory in the game, and the red team was supposed to be the underdog in the game with only Jason Bohannon being the only starter from last year on the team. Nankivil with his athleticism figures to do well in the Big Ten. Hopefully Nankivil's dominance in the scrimmage however was not an indication of just how far the other young Badger big man have to come in order to compete.
